Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of all facilities.
- Oversee the maintenance and housekeeping team, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate and manage all maintenance activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs.
- Manage the maintenance budget and optimize costs without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and activities.
- Stay updated on the latest maintenance technologies and implement them to improve operations.
- Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities and outcomes.
Ensure work orders are completed within 48 hours (non-emergency).
Be available for emergencies in the building (after-hour calls included).
Tracking expenses for the department and staying within the monthly budget.
Job Requirements for Maintenance Director
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have experience working with Seniors in an Assisted Living environment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team of maintenance and housekeeping professionals.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with maintenance management software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations.
- Certification in maintenance management or facility management (preferred).
