In this role, you will:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair paper manufacturing and converting equipment, including pumps, gear reducers, high speed winders, orbital saws, wrappers, and packaging and conveying equipment.
  • Perform routine service, setup, adjustments, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of production equipment.
  • Apply general mechanical skills including lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, piping, and sheet metal work.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance tasks on heavy industrial machinery to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain ball and roller bearings, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Conduct horizontal laser alignment for precision setup of rotating equipment.
  • Perform basic pipe fitting and welding tasks to support equipment installation and repair.
  • Safely rig and lift large equipment using proper techniques and tools for large equipment replacements.
  • Use hand tools, portable electric tools, and maintenance shop equipment proficiently for mechanical tasks and repairs.
  • Carry out basic machinist tasks, such as cutting and broaching keyways on drive line components, minor parts modification, etc.
  • Work collaboratively in a self-directed, operations-driven team environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

In one of our manufacturing roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
  • Journeyman level skills supported by successful completion of a certified mechanical training program or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (machinist, certified welder, etc.) along with 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting OR 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting.
  • Proven safety record that demonstrates solid performance.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, work at heights and within confined spaces.
  • Must understand preventive/predictive/proactive maintenance concepts.
  • Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Papermaking Experience
  • Training in LEAN tools and concepts
  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing and converting equipment
  • Basic computer skills in SAP, Microsoft Word, Outlook and other Windows applications
  • Formal Leadership Training

Starting Hourly Wage: $42.96 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. This position is eligible for the starting wage listed above, overtime pay and available pay increases within your first year. You'll also enjoy a full benefits package, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. Please note that the stated pay rate applies to US locations only.
