Role Summary:

The Supervisor Maintenance oversees the aircraft maintenance teams at Horizon Air. As a people leader, the Supervisor Maintenance leads and establishes priorities for the team of aircraft technicians to ensure overall performance and safety in the day-to-day operation.

Key Duties:
  • Provide administrative and technical control of maintenance and the supervision of aircraft technicians in the overall performance of their duties.
  • Oversees and monitors the Aircraft on Ground team to ensure the safe and timely completion of aircraft maintenance assigned to them in an environment that gives rise to safety, compliance and quality.
  • Ensure successful staffing through the preparation of workforce schedules and workload analysis.
  • Evaluate work performance of assigned technicians and new hires as required.
  • Communicate with leadership assuring aircraft maintenance is conducted in accordance with company and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations.
  • Coordinate with and assist other departments when necessary to expedite completion of assigned work.
  • Maintain work areas and premises in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
  • Evaluate work performance of assigned technicians and new hires as required.
  • Ensure all paperwork is reviewed for accuracy and complete the sign-off process.
  • Report incidents and accidents and submit the appropriate documentation for follow-up.
  • Adhere to Federal, State, Company and Manufacturer rules, regulations and instructions in regard to aircraft maintenance.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required

  • 3 years of aviation maintenance experience, preferably for a commercial airline.
  • Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses.
  • Meets the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR 65.83 (i.e., six months experience in the last 24 months).
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings for a minimum of 5 years.
    Working knowledge of the Horizon Air GPM (General Procedures Manual) and applicable by FARs.

Salary Range: $87,700 $131,550 / year Salary Details:

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note: We don't typically hire at the top of the range.
